I couldnt agree more that hunting with any weapon that doesnt have the proper killing power (and its not all kinetic energy - just ask any archer) is a senseless, cruel act. On the other hand, airguns have plenty of energy for certain game animals.

In England, they take so many rabbits with airguns that the number is uncountable. There may be some rimfire shooters who hunt rabbits, but its doubtful. As in the case of the game mentioned above, bad shots produce bad results, and good shots produce good results. It isnt the gun that launches the projectile - its where it hits and whats behind it.
