| The Girandoni air rifle throws an 11mm round ball at approximately 900 fps. This
makes it a marginal deer rifle to 50 yards and 75 yards in the hands of an
excellent shot, who is also disciplined. British airguns of .50, .60 and .70
caliber, with similar velocities, are far better for deer out to 75-100 yards.
Texas Whitetails, being quite small, are a possible exception to these statements. |
